Western Australia - Shark Bay – Hamelin Pool

What I really like in Western Australia, are all the sunsets on the ocean you can’t see on the East Coast.

Driving from Darwin to Perth with my travel mate, we discovered some of the most amazing places on earth such as Karijini Narional Park, Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle), Broome and also beneath the water at Ningaloo Marine Park. After many hours of driving, we managed to end every day at a perfect spot to admire the sunset. Cable beach, Eight Mile Beach, Coral Bay, Hamelin Pool…

Well, not for Hamelin Pool actually, we just missed it. When we got to the beach, the sun had just set. I needn’t  have been upset for long, as a warm orange sky appeared and blew my mind. With the reflection on the still water, it was astonishing. From the pier, we kept daydreaming until dark. Yes, it was so romantic! And the friend I was traveling with, is since then my partner.
