Nearby are the lively and historic Fremantle Markets featuring more than 150 stalls offering fresh produce, tasty local treats, jewellery and fashion.
To get a souvenir which isn’t ‘souveniry’ we love the e Bathers Beach Art Precinct, Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre and the Round House (which is actually octagonal and WA's oldest building). Or the Freemantle Arts centre which is on the other side of town.
The waterfront of Fremantle Harbour hosts the Western Australia Maritime Museum and some of the best seafood restaurants you’ll find. W.A Crayfish…. Yum!
The World Heritage Listed Fremantle Prison is open was once one of the most notorious prisons in the British Empire and now offers daily tours.
You’ve spent your time enjoying the Art, culture and coffee Freo’ has to offer. It might be time to trade the coffee cup for a long glass of W.A’s best beer at Little Creatures Brewery.
Little Creatures Brewing was born out of the love of great beer shared by a few good mates. In particular, it was a hop driven pale ale they tasted in the north west of the U.S that really captured their hearts and gave rise to this little brewery that began on the water’s edge in Fremantle…
The brewery is in such a great area and is set in an industrial open environment. As you complete a beer tasting to find your favourite you’ll see the brewers hard at their work. For those with hops on the mind a brewery tour is available, or simply enjoy the wonderful menu and a glass of W.A’s finest and wait for the daily breeze (the Freo Doctor) to kick in.
